Hello

And welcome to the site. “We Put Things Here” is the work of seven students from The School of the Visual Arts in New York.

This site showcases and shares in the process of what it takes to build an undergraduate design portfolio over a nine month period. It is a work in progress and should be considered incomplete. More work should be up soon.

GDD-4010-W

The purpose of this course is to cultivate a portfolio through observation of personal design process. The student will pinpoint consistent themes in his work in order to develop a topic which serves as the basis of a portfolio. The student is the content maker and must research, sketch, and edit in order to drive content both visually and conceptually. Excellence in typography as well as a solid interest in making — of both imagery (drawing, silkscreen, photography, collage, etc.) and even more so of content — are a must.
